News Update about The Hundred Cricket Tournament

In light of the pandemic situation, the new English cricket tournament The Hundred has been postponed until 2021. The news was announced during the meeting of the England Cricket Board this Tuesday.

10CRIC India Statement: "We know that you have been expecting the new exciting 100 ball tournament. We have prepared amazing new features and promotions for our users. Please rest assured that when The Hundred starts in 2021, you will receive all the exclusive surprises that you deserve. Meanwhile, you can experience our new Virtual Cricket Betting feature."

The Hundred is English cricket’s new invention which will take place for the first time in the summer of 2020. As the name suggests, it’s a game made up of 100 (legal) deliveries rather than the usual 120 that you get in T20 cricket.

And rather than the traditional English counties playing as themselves, they will be merged with neighbouring counties so that it becomes a tournament disputed among different regions/cities, of the country.

Next up you’re going to find out how it all works, any special rules and the different betting options that are available to you as an Indian customer including live The Hundred betting markets. We’ll also tell you where you can secure the best The Hundred betting odds in India and where you can pick up the best welcome package at the top betting site available to Indian customers.

The Hundred Format & Rules

The Hundred rules are somewhat different from any other format of cricket so it’s worth getting to know them if you’re planning on betting on this new tournament.

The first thing you need to know is that the 100 balls per innings are split into overs made up of five or 10 deliveries with the fielding team’s captain choosing which of the two it is before the over starts. Each bowler can deliver a maximum of 20 balls per innings, the Powerplay is made up of 25 balls and the bowling side gets a strategic time-out of two and a half minutes, to re-assess their options and discuss team tactics.

The Hundred format is simple in terms of fixtures and finding a winner. Eight teams each play four home and away matches over a 38-day period with all sides playing their closest (geographical) rival twice. The top side from the group stages goes straight to the final and the second and third-placed sides contest a semi-final, played on the same day as the final.

The Hundred Betting in India

One of the fascinating aspects of The Hundred is that because it’s totally new, no-one really knows what to expect in terms of team tactics, such as when fielding captains will choose to bowl an over of five balls… and when they choose to make it an over of 10 deliveries.

It will also be interesting to see how the different teams gel as a unit given that for many of the players, it will be the first time they’ve ever played together, given that sides will be made up of three or four different counties. Another intriguing thing to look out for is how some of the overseas players such as Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, D’Arcy Short, David Warner, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine fare in English conditions, where they haven’t played much (or any) cricket at a domestic level.

Players will also have to learn on the job in terms of what knowing what a par score is when you only have 100 balls off which to score runs.

All of this means there’s a lot of uncertainty. But it also means that customers who want to bet on the Hundred and who can get their heads around it and work it all out before anyone else, have the opportunity to get ahead of the game and beat the odds.

At 10CRIC you’ll have the opportunity to wager on lots of different The Hundred betting markets including:

Pre-match The Hundred betting

Pre-match betting is one of the most popular types of betting, liked by many this type gives you the opportunity to bet on many markets, like:

  • Which team will win the game?
  • Who will be the top bowler?
  • Who will win the toss?
  • and many others…

To be successful in The Hundred pre-match betting, our advice is:

Consider the players who will be taking to the field, the team’s respective strengths and weaknesses and who might be best suited to the conditions on the day before bet your money down on a team to win, or a player to be their side’s top batsman or bowler. Or other markets such as which side might hit the most sixes.

Live Hundred Betting

Live betting is extremely exciting, you can become one with the match and experience the thrill.

Our advice for successful live betting is:

Have a good look at what the wicket is doing, work out which players look in good touch (batsmen) or good rhythm (the bowlers) and bet accordingly during the game. Most Live bet markets are available to bet on until the very last ball of the match.

Outrights The Hundred Betting

Outrights betting is super entertaining because at the beginning of the tournament you can make your prediction for an interesting market and win.

To be good in outrights betting, our experts are giving the advice:

It won’t be easy to predict which sides have the better balance and the best team dynamic given this is all so new but there are big rewards on offer for customers who can work out who might go on and win it outright before the tournament begins.

The Hundred Cricket Betting Odds

Attractive welcome bonuses (see below), well-designed sites and good mobile apps are all extremely important when it comes to choosing your preferred Sportsbook. But none of those elements are arguably as important as making sure you always get the best possible odds.

Betting at 10CRIC means you will always be able to get The Hundred betting odds that are as high or higher than what you’d get anywhere else.

So, as an example, maybe you’d only be able to get odds of 6.0 on the Welsh Fire to go on and win the tournament. But The Hundred odds on 10CRIC could well be 7.0 on the Welsh Fire winning the inaugural edition of this competition.

You should also be able to get higher odds on individual matches at 10CRIC than you’d get elsewhere. So if betting on the London Spirit pre-match against the Birmingham Phoenix, we here at 10CRIC may be offering 2.3 when other Sportsbooks are only going 2.15. The same applies to betting on individual players for top bat or top bowler honours.

10CRIC Welcome Package and Special Betting Offers

Here at 10CRIC, we want to make sure that customers start feeling the benefits of signing up to India’s top betting site straight away.

When you make your first-ever deposit as a new customer, you have an excellent welcome package to look forward to immediately. As you’d expect from what is one of the top betting sites in India.

Whatever you choose to deposit, we’ll double it, or give you a 100% bonus as it’s also sometimes called. The bonus is capped at ₹10,000, meaning that’s the maximum you can receive in terms of extra betting money. So, it makes sense to deposit the full ₹10,000 in order to get the biggest possible amount of bonus cash.

You’ll then have the ₹10,000 you deposited to play with, plus the ₹10,000 you got as a bonus. And that’s not all. You’ll also get to 20 free spins to use on the extremely popular slot game, The King. Whether you’re a casino fan or not, you’ll have 20 spins to use ‘on the house’, meaning you don’t have to risk your own money.

*Note: Just remember to make sure that the payment methods you’re using make you eligible for the bonus.

The offers from 10CRIC certainly don’t end there. We realise that each and every tournament is unique and special and that customers like to have bonuses revolving around the different sporting events and major tournaments on the calendar.

That could be anything from a free bet if you place a wager on a particular Test match, to getting a boost in your odds if you place a LiveBet on a certain ODI. As an example, during India’s recent tour of New Zealand, we offered a free bet up to ₹2,000 to go with any winnings you secured from placing your actual bet. The only requirement was that India won both the toss and the match.

When The Hundred begins, our experienced traders will create special tailor-made bonuses that are specific just to this tournament meaning that it’s worth keeping an eye on the Promotions Page here at 10CRIC nearer the time. You’ll have to wait and see what the actual bonuses are but what we can tell you are that they’ll be worth your while and that it will be just another extra to your overall betting experience here.

The Hundred Teams

The Hundred Teams

The Southern Brave and the Oval Invincibles are among the favourites to go on and win The Hundred in its first-ever edition, with the Manchester Originals and the London Spirit among the outsiders.

In such a short format, just about any match should make for compelling viewing and extremely close finishes but the local derbies should make for particularly interesting games.

That includes the Oval Invincibles versus the London Spirit, where the likes of Jason Roy, Sam Curran and Sunil Narine will turn out for the Invincibles against white-ball superstars such as Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan and Mohammad Amir for the Spirit.

It will be a similar story when the Birmingham Phoenix face the Trent Rockets. Captained by the England regular Moeen Ali and also featuring Kane Williamson and Aussie spinner Adam Zampa, the Phoenix have a well-balanced side and will be desperate to get the better of Midlands rivals, the Rockets.
