LPL betting odds
There are three categories of betting odds:
Pre-game Sri Lanka Premier League T20 betting odds
This type of betting focuses on a match within a series and there are many markets you can choose from. These are odds for match-winner, the man of the match, best bowler, best batsman, most sixes, longest six, over/under scores, win toss, odd or even run scores, and match scores amongst others.
While most of these named betting markets are self-explanatory, we will expand on the last four mentioned:
Over/Under Scores - The goal of this is to predict how many runs will be scored by both teams combined. The player is given a benchmark total and must bet on whether the final tally will be above or below this. It is one of the more popular bets as the odds of winning are higher than most others.
Win Toss - The captains toss a coin about 30 minutes before a cricket game starts, and the winner chooses whether his team will bat or bowl first.
Odd or Even Run Scores - Whether the final team total will be an odd or even number, zero counts as even for this purpose.
Match Scores - The total runs that a team will score in a match. This will be within a given range for example:170 to 180, or 180 to 190. You normally get better odds on this type of bet as it is a difficult prediction.
Outright Sri Lanka Premier League T20 betting odds
A bet is usually made to predict the following: Outright winner, Best Team, Best Series Batsman, Best Series Bowler, Top Catch of the Series, Player of the Series, Most Series Sixes by a Player or Longest Series Six.
While the bet is generally placed before the competition begins, it can be placed during the contest - but at worse betting odds. Please note that these bets cover the entire tournament, not just a game on its own.
Live LPL betting odds
You can still place bets while a match or tournament is in progress. The likelihood here, though, is that the odds on offer will fluctuate substantially (or ‘ball by ball’ in cricket terms). This is the most popular form of betting.

Sri Lanka Premier League T20 2021
The second edition of the LPL Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament being played in Sri Lanka is the Sri Lanka Premier League T20 2021. It is planned to take place between 27 July and 19 August 2021.
The tournament is to take place in the usual round-robin format, going into knockouts. While the match schedule, dates and venues are still to be made known, you should keep checking on our 10CRIC page for regular updates in this regard.
The five teams that participated in the inaugural event were Colombo Kings, Dambulla Viiking, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Stallions and Kandy Tuskers. These teams will remain as competitors in the upcoming event, with a new side from Trincomalee joining the fray.
Administrators for this highly anticipated event are, once again, Sri Lanka Cricket and the winners of 2020 were Jaffna Stallions, with runners-up being Galle Gladiators. Shoaib Malik (Jaffna Stallions and Pakistan) was elected Player of the Final.
While the outcome of many things may seem difficult to predict, you should remember that a bit of history could play an important role in this aspect. A case in point would be with the IPL and the number of times that the Chennai Super Kings have emerged as champions.
LPL 2021 Betting Predictions
Being in the business of sports betting, we were able to speak to the experts in betting prediction during the 2020 Sri Lanka Premier League T20, resulting in some good tips and advice. We will continue this in the 2021 tournament bypassing these valuable snippets on to our loyal clients as we get them, so keep watching the 10CRIC space, or you might miss out.
The following will be the items mainly focussed and bet upon:
Which Team Will Win the 2021 Sri Lanka Premier League T20? - First, you need to consider each sides’ Coach, Captain and Icon player. As said before, the team line-ups have yet to be announced, so we will take historical information into consideration before making Sri Lanka Premier League T20 Predictions. Winners of the 2020 competition were Jaffna Stallions with runners-up being Galle Gladiators.
Interestingly enough, this is extreme north beating extreme south, looking at Sri Lanka’s geography — a bit of useless information — unless you’re a betting person. The coach of the winning team was Thilina Kandamby and it’s the captain (and icon player) was Thisara Perera.
The runners-up were coached by Moin Khan, captained by Bhanuka Rajapaksa and their icon player was Lasith Malinga. Based on the IPL history mentioned earlier, we predict that the Jaffna Stallions will win. Consider this to be one of our top Sri Lanka Premier League T20 Tips for now.
Which LPL Team Will Reach the 2021 Finals? - With the same considerations in mind, besides the Jaffna Stallions, we predict that the Galle Gladiators will reach the finals. Two things to watch for though are Lasith Malinga’s retirement and the unknown factor, being the new team from Trincomalee.
Who will be the best LPL Player? - We are going local on this one. Thisara Perera is our pick based on recent form and the consistency displayed in his game.
Sri Lanka Premier League T20 2021 Teams
Here follows a little more about each team and what we can expect:
This team is based in Colombo in the western province of Sri Lanka. It is owned by Murfad Mustafa, a Dubai based Indian businessman. The team is coached by Rangana Herath and comprises some good players, the likes of Angelo Matthews, the big-hitting Andre Russel and Manpreet Singh Gony to name a few. A ‘teething’ problem for this team, in particular, was securing a coach which chopped and changed due to personal reasons and also Covid-19.
Situated in the central province of Sri Lanka, Kandy Tuskers represent the city of Kandy. Founded in 2020, it is co-owned by Bollywood actors Sohail Khan and Abbas Muni. Kusal Perera was signed up as the local icon player and Chris Gayle as the marquee overseas player, both at the top of their games.
The deserved winners of the inaugural competition, this side hails from Jaffna, Northern Province situated at the top of Sri Lanka — meaning the map and T20 cricket! Team owners are a consortium consisting of Sri Lankans and Indians from all over the world, with Anandan Arnold and Rahul Sood in charge of said consortium. Thisara Perera and Shoaib Malik are the big player names to look out for here.
The Galle Gladiators are the ambassadors for the city of Galle. They are a southern province Sri Lankan based team, owned by Nadeem Omar. He purchased this franchise in 2020 and is also the owner of the Quetta Gladiators, a Pakistan Super League team. Wasim Akram, Pakistan ex-cricketer, fills the role of mentor and Moin Khan coach. The teams’ marquee foreign player Shahid Afridi is the star all-rounder of Pakistan. As runners-up in the first tournament, this formidable side has a distinct Pakistani ‘flavouring’ to it.
Based in Dambulla, central province Sri Lanka, the Viiking — yes, two ‘i’s’ and no ‘s’—is currently owned by Sachiin (two i’s) J, the Bollywood actor. Joshi. Dasun Shanaka was announced as the icon player and David Miller as the foreign marquee player. The last-named was subsequently replaced by Brendan Taylor. Niroshan Dickwella and Lendl Simmons are other names to watch.
They are situated on the east coast of Sri Lanka, and this is about all we can tell you about this team at this stage. Keep an eye on the 10CRIC page for updated information on Trincomalee.
